Japan and Armenia Reach Agreement on New Tax Convention

by editor

The governments of Japan and Armenia have reached an agreement in principle on a new Tax Convention aimed at strengthening economic ties between the two countries. This agreement introduces provisions to clarify taxation rules, eliminate double taxation, and prevent tax evasion and avoidance. The new framework is expected to facilitate increased mutual investments and promote economic exchanges.

The signing of the Convention will take place once both governments complete the necessary internal procedures. The agreement will come into force after domestic legal procedures are finalized in both Japan and Armenia.

This new Tax Convention is specific to Japan and Armenia and does not impact existing tax agreements Japan has with other countries.
