The Service of Diplomatic and Historical Archives of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs successfully hosted a presentation event for the exhibition titled “Relations between Greece and Japan through Diplomatic Documents” on Wednesday, October 30, at the Byzantine and Christian Museum.
The event celebrated the historical ties between Greece and Japan as part of the 2024 Greece-Japan Year of Culture and Tourism. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Kotsiras addressed attendees, emphasizing the significance of cultural exchange in strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
The exhibition, which showcases a selection of significant diplomatic documents, opened to the public following the presentation and will remain on display at the Byzantine and Christian Museum until November 4. Visitors have the opportunity to explore the deep-rooted connections between Greece and Japan through these historical artifacts.
After its run in Athens, the exhibition is set to travel to Tokyo, further promoting mutual understanding and appreciation between the two countries.
