Josep Solano is a Senior Press Correspondent for leading digital and traditional newspapers in Spain, currently based in Japan. He is a communication expert and a professor at the Open University of Catalonia.

Currently, he serves as the President of the Society of European Journalists and Communication Professionals in Asia, is a member of the International Federation of Journalists, and is registered as a journalist professional with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

Before moving to Japan, Solano taught communication at various universities and public institutions in Catalonia and managed communications for several pan-European organizations.

His career has taken him beyond Spain to Andorra, France, and Belgium, where he spent over a decade as editor-in-chief of one of the first online newspapers dedicated to European affairs.
