Ambassador Sibi George delivered inaugural remarks at the Symposium on “Economic Security and Supply Chain Resilience: Enhancing India-Japan Cooperation,” co-hosted by the Indian Embassy in Tokyo, the Japan Research Institute, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. H.E. Mr. Minoru Kiuchi, Japan’s Minister in Charge of Economic Security, also addressed the event via a special video message.
The symposium emphasized India’s role as a trusted partner in building resilient supply chains and highlighted opportunities for Japanese businesses to tap into India’s strengths in manufacturing, technology, and economic growth. Deputy Chief of Mission Shri R. Madhu Sudan participated in a panel discussion, sharing insights on deepening India-Japan collaboration to enhance supply chain resilience and global competitiveness.
