Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba received this afternoon a courtesy call from Murat Nurtleu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, during Nurtleu’s official visit to Japan. The 15-minute meeting followed Nurtleu’s earlier discussions with Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi, highlighting the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
Prime Minister Ishiba welcomed Nurtleu’s visit and expressed his hope for further development of bilateral ties across a wide range of areas. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation as strategic partners, particularly in light of Kazakhstan’s participation in the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
This meeting builds on earlier discussions between Nurtleu and Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi, where both sides agreed to enhance collaboration in key sectors such as natural resources and energy, as well as to address regional and global challenges.
