Representatives from Japan’s business community expressed strong interest in deepening economic and trade cooperation with China during yesterday’s bilateral business exchange meeting in Tokyo. The event, attended by officials from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the Japan-China Economic Association, and major Japanese companies, highlighted the importance of strengthening ties in areas such as technological innovation, the digital economy, and green development.
Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the CCPIT, emphasized China’s commitment to high-standard opening-up and invited Japanese companies to participate in the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) in July and the China Pavilion at the 2025 Osaka Expo. Representatives from Japanese firms, including MUFG Bank, Mitsubishi Electric, and Kawasaki Heavy Industries, expressed enthusiasm for expanding collaboration and enhancing supply chain cooperation.
The meeting underscored the growing economic integration between China and Japan, with bilateral trade exceeding
300 billion annually and Japan’s cumulative investment in China surpassing 130 billion. Experts noted that such exchanges serve as a stabilizing force for bilateral relations, fostering mutual growth and regional cooperation amid global challenges.
