Ambassador Moi Lemoshira and a team from the Kenyan Embassy visited Yuzato Elementary School in Osaka on 4 February as part of the International Exchange Program for the Osaka Expo 2025. The initiative, led by Japan’s Cabinet Office, aims to foster mutual understanding between Osaka residents and Expo-participating countries.
Ambassador Lemoshira presented Kenya’s culture, tourism, and sports to over 200 students, staff, and parents, sparking enthusiasm among the attendees. The event featured a performance of the Kenyan song ‘Jambo Bwana’ by students and an African music troupe led by Kenyan Diasporan Kevin Atieno.
The Ambassador also interacted with students during a Q&A session and viewed their artwork inspired by African culture. School Principal Mr. Yayoi Matoba and Mayor Tetsuya Fujiwara expressed gratitude, highlighting the program’s role in promoting cultural exchange and strengthening ties between Kenya and the region.
