Mexican Ambassador Melba Pría recently visited Nagoya, where she not only participated in the Nagoya Women’s Marathon but also held key meetings to strengthen ties between Mexico and Japan. Ambassador Pría met with Nagoya Mayor Ichiro Hirosawa and Assembly President Rika Tanaka to reinforce the sister-city relationship between Nagoya and Mexico City, focusing on cooperation in culture, economy, and sports.
In a separate meeting, she discussed ways to enhance sports and cultural exchanges with Mr. Okamura, Founder and Chief Branding Officer of the Nagoya Women’s Marathon, emphasizing the importance of women’s participation in sports.
