The Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (NCCJ) convened yesterday its Annual General Meeting at the Sola City Conference Center in Ochanomizu. The gathering featured opening remarks from Ambassador Kristin Iglum, who emphasized the Chamber’s pivotal role in promoting Norwegian business interests in Japan.

The meeting included presentations of financial reports by General Manager Snorre Larsen and a review of the NCCJ Roadmap 2026. Outgoing Chairperson Svend Haakon Kristensen discussed upcoming events for 2025 before stepping down after six years of service.

The assembly elected new board members: Masayuki Ataka (AutoStore System K.K), Ryoichi Egawa (Cognite Japan), Mariko Fukui (Quarks Asia), Jostein Rørveit (American Seafoods Japan KK), and Yasu Tsuchito (MIOJIO). Jostein Rørveit was appointed as the new Chairperson, succeeding Kristensen.
