The Philippine Embassy in Japan hosted the promotional meeting for the annual “Japan Through Diplomats’ Eyes” photo exhibition at the Ambassador’s official residence in Tokyo. Nearly 50 ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps attended the event, which celebrated its 28th year with the theme “Rhythms of Life”.

The exhibition’s honorary president, H.I.H. Princess Takamado, graced the event as the guest of honor. In her remarks, she highlighted the exhibition’s significance in capturing over 20 years of Japan’s history through the lenses of diplomats and encouraged participants to submit their photographic works.

Ambassador Mylene J. Garcia-Albano welcomed guests to the Philippine Ambassador’s residence, a National Historical Landmark, and emphasized the exhibition’s role in fostering cultural exchange and showcasing Japan’s beauty.

The event, held in celebration of the Philippines’ National Women’s Month, featured Filipino-Japanese fusion dishes prepared by Tokyo-based chefs Jane Magat-Kemmochi and Marlyn Okawa, using Philippine fruits like bananas, mangoes, and pineapples.

The “Japan Through Diplomats’ Eyes” exhibition continues to offer a unique perspective on Japan’s culture, landscapes, and daily life, as seen through the eyes of the diplomatic community.
