The Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan marked its official opening with an event in Tokyo, bringing together representatives from Ukrainian and Japanese businesses.
Established in December with eight founding members, the chamber aims to foster economic cooperation between the two countries. Ukraine’s ambassador to Japan, Sergiy Korsunsky, emphasized its role as a bridge for ongoing collaboration.
Chamber president Kateryna Yavorska highlighted Ukraine’s strengths in agriculture, IT, and mineral resources, encouraging Japanese investment. The chamber plans to expand to 15 companies, focusing on construction and trade, while supporting business exchanges and Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts.
